GAIT - PASS:  Grandview Accountability Improvement Team

Partnership for Academically Successful Students

GAIT-PASS would like to welcome you to the 2016-17 school year. We are quickly coming up on our first meeting of the year.  We enjoyed connecting with many of you during the check-in process,  and we have received interest from other outreach efforts as well. As a reminder, here are a few points explaining the purpose of GAIT-PASS:

  • GAIT-PASS is a committee of parents and staff that combines the functions of a school accountability committee with the functions of an equity-focused PASS group.
  • Together, we discuss academic and social aspects of Grandview High School with the goal of making sure every student has the opportunities and support they need to be successful.
  • We additionally strive to engage in meaningful and effective partnerships with our African American and Latino families to promote the academic success of students of color.

Through participation in GAIT-PASS, you have an opportunity to connect with Grandview staff and administration to discuss current school policies, practices, and climate, while learning to navigate all that is Grandview High School.

We are looking forward to a great year!

Francile Beights, GAIT Chair

Chip Boykin, PASS Chair
