I am an Americorps VISTA working with Habitat for Humanity of Metro Denver this year to involve college and high school students in our volunteer opportunities.
As I'm sure you know, as students begin to look at colleges and jobs after high school, community service looks excellent on their résumés.
Habitat for Humanity is highly respected for the work we do to help low-income families afford a stable, safe place to live. In fact, we are the 3rd most well -known non-profit in the world.  In addition to the benefit of having the Habitat name on their résumés, we even write personalized recommendation letters for students after 40 volunteer hours.
We have multiple opportunities for students to take part in, such as volunteering at one of our 3 ReStores, working on a build site, or even starting a Habitat Club at Grandview High School. I would love to speak further with you to discuss how we can get Grandview students involved with our work. This could be a great opportunity both for our organization and for the students.
Please contact me at or (720) 218-9145 if a partnership between Habitat Metro Denver and Grandview High School interests you.
