The Family and Consumer Sciences program offers a wide selection of elective, practical arts courses for students of all ability levels and interests. Areas of study include foods and nutrition, culinary arts and hospitality, human development and the family, parenting and early childhood education, housing and interior design, consumer education and financial management, and career awareness in related occupations. Students who desire the practical application cation of their academic skills while working cooperatively with others on interesting, hands-on, classroom activities and projects will enjoy the chal- lenges that lay ahead. In addition, students may satisfy the graduation requirement in the area of Health by completing both Foods and Nutrition and Relationships and Marriage at any time during their high school career at Grandview.
