Spanish National Honor Society


  • Purpose of Grandview's Spanish Honor Society - Don Quijote Chapter

    • To recognize high achievement in language study at the secondary level
    • To promote the study of language and the appreciation of other cultures
    • To function as a service organization at Grandview High School and community​
  • ​​Requirements to become a member
    • Be in Level 3 or higher for the 2019-2020 school year
    • Have completed at least one full year of language study at GHS
    • Have a cumulative 3.6 GPA in your language class
    • Have a cumulative 3.5 GPA overall
    • Good citizenship and enthusiasm for the study of languages and cultures
    • Plan to continue language study throughout and beyond high school

  • Expectations as a member
    • Complete ten hours of community service using your Spanish
    • Help to plan and participate in cultural activities
    • Attend Honor Society meetings 
    • Be involved and have fun!​
  • ​Scholarship opportunities are available to Spanish Honor Society Members​​
  • Important Dates:
    • New Members
      • ​Applications for new members are due no later than Friday, March 29   
      • Turn in your completed application, transcript and fee to either Srs. Russum, Sra. Wisler in U309, or to your Spanish teacher by Friday, March 15.
