The Activities Council is an organization made up of representatives from each of the registered clubs here at Grandview. It is a place for student leaders to meet, work together, and to share knowledge. Its primary mission is to promote student awareness of and participation in Grandview Clubs and Activities.

The American Red Cross Club is a local chapter at Grandview Highschool. To create a safe space where people can learn about the culture related to sign language, and where people can learn sign. We would like to be learning signs that aren't taught in class, as well as teaching basic signs to people that join who aren't able to come into the ASL classroom. All are welcome!

Aviation club brings together students interested in aviation, aerospace, flight, and STEM pathways. Members explore topics like piloting, engineering, and career pathways through discussions and fun, hands-on activities. No prior aviation experience is required, and the club is open to all students.

Badminton Club allows students to get together to play badminton, build new friendships, and create a since of community at Grandview.

Jazz Ensemble I (by audition only)

This Jazz Band is the most advanced at Grandview, it is comprised of a small group of students who play wind instruments supported by a rhythm section that performs jazz, rock and Latin music from various historical periods.

The Jazz Ensemble is a group of students who play wind instruments supported by a rhythm section that performs jazz, rock, and Latin music from various historical periods.

Jazz Combo (by audition only)

This small group of jazz students performs at school and district functions in addition to some jazz concerts and festivals. The focus of this group is improvisation.

Wolf Pride Band

The band is open to any student with previous band experience, this also includes color guard. Rehearsals are after school on a weekly basis during fall and winter sports. The Wolf Pride Band will play for three local parades, many home football, volleyball, basketball games, and school pep assemblies. Additional performance opportunities at some area college and university sporting events may also be scheduled along with regional band competitions.

In this club, students of Grandview will get together to make bracelets. All the profits will be donated to the Malala fund. The club hopes to bring students together through bracelet making while raising awareness about the importance of education.

Black Student Experience (BSE) is a welcoming community where students of color can connect, support one another, and celebrate their shared experiences. Through meaningful conversations, community-building, and opportunities for connection, BSE empowers students to feel seen, heard, and valued within the Grandview community. Our goal is to create a space where students can build relationships, share their perspectives, and celebrate Black identity and culture.

All students interested in Chinese culture are welcome to join. Activities may include cooking, Chinese calligraphy, Tai Chi, Chinese films, music and other cultural events. Students need not be enrolled in Chinese language classes to participate.

National Chinese Honor Society is a service organization designed to recognize high achievement in language study at the secondary level. Its goal is to promote the study of language and the appreciation of other cultures. Members must have completed 3+ years of language study, at least one year of language study at Grandview, and maintained a 3.0 cumulative overall GPA and a cumulative 3.5 GPA in Chinese. Its members will be required to complete ten hours of community service per semester within the community and will have the opportunity to plan and participate in cultural activities.

This club focuses on developing computer science and software development skills while encouraging students to create innovative solutions to real-world challenges. Members will explore coding, problem-solving, and technology while working toward ideas that can improve different aspects of society, including finance, education, and beyond. Whether you’re an experienced programmer or just getting started, this club is a space to learn, collaborate, and turn ideas into impact.

This is a competition club where our teams of 5-6 individuals compete against teams from schools across the country in cyber security related events. Basically, we run virtualization software with Windows and Linux images that have been compromised in some way so that they are not secure. The competitors identify and fix all security flaws that they find to earn points.

DECA is co-curricular, which means that it is an integral component of the marketing curriculum.  Grandview has a growing and successful DECA chapter.  If you are enrolled in a business or marketing class, your active participation is strongly encouraged. The Democracy Club is dedicated to creating meaningful change by raising awareness, supporting organizations and causes around the world, and encouraging civic engagement. Through fundraising, education, advocacy, and communication with local, national, and international leaders, members will explore ways to advance democracy, liberty, sustainability, and the overall well-being of communities. Our goal is to empower students to become informed, engaged citizens and make a positive impact both locally and globally.

Desmos club invites everyone with a passion and interest to learn more about 2D/3D graphing functions and animations in the Desmos Graphing Calculator. We will work on making art with purely mathematical functions such as quadratics, polygons, and rotation matrices. We will then submit these graphs to the annual Desmos Art Contest. You do not need any prerequisites for this club, anyone is welcome. 

The Environmental Club is a community of students looking to learn about, protect, and improve our world. We want to promote awareness of environmental issues and sustainability within our school and community while encouraging responsible care of natural resources. Members can help in projects such as recycling or clean-up events, conservation efforts, spreading awareness, and more. This club is open to anyone interested in making a positive impact—no experience required, just a willingness to get involved. Collaboration, leadership, and advocacy skills are our focus in the belief that small changes can create lasting benefits for our planet and future generations.

The Grandview Esports League is open to all students who want to be involved with competitive video-gaming. We offer a unique opportunity for students to compete in a CHSAA recognized sport where gamer athletes have the opportunity to earn scholarships towards higher education.Team members serve as positive role models by displaying outstanding citizenship, good sportsmanship, and quality leadership at all practices, games, and tournaments. There is a $90 athletics fee for participating on a Grandview ESports official team. Additionally, for gamers who aren't ready to make the jump to an official competitive ESports team, we are offering the Grandview ESports Academy option. This option is for students who would like to play recreationally after school and work on their gaming skills. The cost to participate in the Grandview ESports Academy is $30 per semester.

FCCLA is a national vocational student organization for high school students associated with the Family and Consumer Sciences classes. Membership and participation in leadership and community service projects is open to all Grandview students, but students who have taken a FACS class are eligible to become nationally affiliated members and use this on their resume! Grandview's Fishing Club is the first of its kind anywhere in the Cherry Creek system. We meet twice a month to talk about everything fishing: from how to tie knots to being able to identify different types of fish. There is no experience needed, and we love meeting new students who are interested in just getting started, or furthering their knowledge. Our members discuss fly fishing, angling, bait casting, and more! We hope to see you there.

French Club does a variety of activities related to Grandview and to the French-speaking world. We march in the Homecoming parade and cheer in French, we plan and attend cultural outings in Denver, we organize educational opportunities for other French students, we do community service to benefit the French-speaking world, we make crepes to sell at the Grandview Craft Fair, and we support other Grandview clubs whenever we can. This group includes students of different ages and you need not be enrolled in French to join us.

Girls who code is a nonprofit organization that is dedicated to closing the gender gap in technology and computer science. Their mission is to inspire more girls to become computer scientists and engineers. At Grandview Highschool, it is a place for students to meet and learn computer science, technology, and engineering in a likeminded group of individuals. We will work together to learn new and interesting things in the field of STEM and even compete in the national organization’s competitions.

The Habesha Student Club aims to build a strong and welcoming community among Habesha students at Grandview while inviting everyone to learn about and celebrate Habesha culture. This club will act as a place where people interested in gardening can gather in a welcoming environment to learn gardening skills and techniques through hands-on experience. This club enriches the Activities Program and brings the Jewish community at Grandview closer together while educating all who are interested in Jewish culture. The Media & Technology Club is a student-led club that explores how digital media and technology influence what students see, believe, and share online. The club focuses on topics such as media, bias, misinformation, digital scams, and online persuasion through interactive activities, games, and group discussions rather than lectures. The goal is to build critical thinking and digital awareness in a collaborative and relaxed environment. Members can engage in a low-stress, discussion-based environment to break down viral posts, ads, and headlines, the perfect gateway to insightful conversations about technology, media, and the internet. Members are encouraged to actively participate in discussions and activities, but no prior experience or homework is required. Members will strengthen critical thinking, media literacy, digital citizenship, and ethical decision-making skills while exploring how technology shapes society. In future meetings, members may explore outreach projects to teach digital literacy to students in feeder schools or to community members.

This club offers high school students an opportunity to learn about the various and diverse careers available in the medical field. Students can network with other students interested in health-related fields. Guest speakers in a variety of health care positions describe their medical careers and the educational requirements needed. Students receive guidance and direction in how to achieve the goals they are striving to meet in a healthcare career. Additionally, the club holds social gatherings to have fun, eat food, build community and talk medical careers.

High school mock trial is a competitive activity where students take on roles such as attorneys, witnesses, and courtroom officials to argue a fictional legal case. Students research, prepare arguments, question witnesses, and present evidence while developing skills in public speaking, critical thinking, teamwork, and legal reasoning.

Model United Nations, also known as Model UN, or MUN, is an extra-curricular activity in which students typically role- play delegates to the United Nations and simulate UN committees. Students involved in this club will gain access to substantial research, public speaking, debating, and writing skills, as well as critical thinking, teamwork, and leadership abilities. Students will be able to participate in meets with other schools to solve global issues.

Dungeons and Dragons is a tabletop game where we use dice to determine the outcome of a fantastical situation given by the DM. In Myths and Meeples, we play Dungeons and Dragons in groups of 4-6 players led by a DM.

NAHS is a group of high school artists (grades 9-12) who love art! It's part of the National Art Education Association (NAEA), an organization that celebrates talented artists. The goal is to highlight the achievements of art students both inside and outside the classroom. Are you passionate about art? Do you love to sketch, paint, sculpt, or explore new artistic mediums? Do you want to be part of a vibrant community that celebrates creativity? If so, the National Art Honor Society (NAHS) is the perfect place for you!

Grandview High School's chapter of the National English Honors Society is a discipline-specific honor society for high school students who are captivated by English language and literature, creative writing, theatre and drama, film and media studies, and journalism. Our mission is to cultivate a vibrant environment where high school students and teachers can immerse themselves in the invaluable experiences of promoting literacy and serving society, while honoring exceptional and diverse achievements in the English language arts and related subjects. Students will be nominated by their students for selection into the honors society.

Eleventh and Twelfth grade students who have been selected to become members during the spring selection process meet in the Lecture Center August 31 and January 11, with optional service meetings throughout the year. Students in this CTE-designated class plan and produce our award-winning student-run school news website, The Grandview Chronicle. They become investigative reporters, news and editorial writers, interviewers, editors and photographers as they engage with our school and its community. Students will also learn all aspects of Web design and Publishing, Social Media Marketing, Adobe Photoshop and discuss current issues in Journalism. Students Organized Against Racism (SOAR) empowers young people of all races to become catalysts for change through meaningful, ongoing conversations in our schools. As students are given a voice and opportunities for equity/anti-racism leadership, they become a more visible voice for change in their schools and build capacity to lead equity work with the support of school staff. Students are selected by principals, focusing on sophomores or juniors who aspire to be anti-racist leaders involved in equity and racial consciousness conversations. Students should plan to participate in the program for two years and attend a virtual Courageous Conversations about Race training and three S.O.A.R seminar sessions.

Sources of Strength is a positive messaging program that uses the power of Peer Leaders and social networks to help students find their voice in creating a positive change in their school. The program's goal is to bring awareness to each student’s individual strengths. Everyone goes through times of emotional ups and downs. When you know your strengths, you can lean on them when you have feelings of sadness, worry/anxiety, and anger. Come practice Spanish, make new friends, and have fun! Spanish Club is a welcoming space where students can play games, share delicious food, and build community while practicing their Spanish. We’ll explore Spanish-speaking cultures, traditions, and experiences through fun and engaging activities. Whether you’re fluent, just starting out, or somewhere in between, everyone is welcome.

The Spanish Honor Society recognizes students who have shown enthusiasm for the Spanish language and culture. The students have maintained an A average in Spanish and an overall GPA of 3.5. We act as a service organization.

Students prepare for competition in debate, public speaking, and oral interpretation with assistance from coaches and team veterans. Tournaments are held on Saturdays from October to early April. Speech can also be taken as a class. Students have the opportunity to letter and join the National Speech and Debate Association.

Students Demand Action will unite with Moms Demand Action and other local schools to advocate for gun safety legislation. Students Demand Action aims to; Advocate for common-sense gun safety laws, elect gun sense candidates at local, state, and national levels, educate our peers an communities on gun safety issues and solutions, register new voters and mobilize our peers, and end gun violence.

The Student Leadership Class is an opportunity for all grade levels to represent the student body within the school and community. Students in this class serve as the student body officers and class representatives participating leadership training activities and service learning. They also plan numerous activities throughout the school year including Homecoming, Prom, and community service projects. Students must submit an application in the spring for the following school year.

Membership and participation is open to all Grandview students. TSA is a national student organization focusing on science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). The organization promotes technological literacy, leadership, and problem solving through state and national competitive and social events, resulting in personal growth and opportunity. Those students currently or recently enrolled in classes such as engineering and technology as well as graphic arts, tech theatre, creative writing and forensics are encouraged to join.

Theatre Club is an honor organization of drama students. Students must earn a number of points to become eligible for the International Thespian Organization; however, ALL students are invited to join for meetings and activities. Activities include participating in and supporting Grandview Performing Arts Theatre, participating in and building a pomp board for the homecoming parade, preparing for “ThesCon” (the state Thespian convention), and organizing and attending GHS and other schools’ performances.

Vex Robotics is designed to increase student interest and involvement in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) by engaging students in hands-on, affordable, and sustainable robotics engineering programs. We plan to build a competitive team and compete in events like TSA and Vex Robotics for state and national tournaments. Students who have taken robotics or advanced robotics are welcome to join the competitive team.

Meets: Every Morning 7:35 am - 8:15 am, every Tuesday and Thursday after school 3:30 pm - 5:30 pm. All in room 1304. Competitions on scheduled Saturdays, 8 am - 4 pm.

AP US Government and Politics-We The People Grades 11-12. This college level course provides students an in-depth examination of the structure of the United States government, how citizens, the media, political parties, and interest groups influence it, and how American politicians gain, keep, and use power. Students spend most of the first semester developing their research, writing, and public speaking skills through the We the People program, which involves Constitutional research and analysis. We the People has been the subject of over 20 studies showing its unique educational achievements. This course will meet Colorado's graduation requirements for Government. Students will take the AP U.S. Government and Politics exam in the spring. Due to the advanced nature of this course, grades will be weighted.

In this class, students plan, create and produce the Grandview yearbook, The View. They are responsible for all aspects of production and design.
