Principal's Message
Two quick months until the end of the school year, but so much left to do! April is here, and there is no rain in sight this year to hope for some flowers in May, but that’s ok; we will enjoy the beautiful spring weather.
Prom is April 11th at Mile High Station in Denver. There is no PTCO-sponsored After Prom again this year. That was a change for us a few years ago, but we wanted you to be aware of that again this year. We are looking forward to celebrating this fun event with our juniors and seniors.
Please join us for our Performing Arts department’s annual fundraiser Grand Evening on April 18th. It is always a fun night that showcases our students’ talents in every area of Performing Arts. Additionally, our spring play, Treasure Island, is April 24th and 25th, and we’re already hearing it will be amazing!
Our Visual Arts Department will be hosting the annual Grandview Feeder Art Show on April 22nd. We love having the talented artists throughout our feeder area come join us and display their artwork throughout our halls. Our current Grandview artists also display their best work from the year, and it is truly incredible to see all that they can do.
In academics, the spring brings the opportunity to assess the year’s learning through standardized tests. In a few short weeks, our juniors will take the CMAS science test and the SAT, while our freshmen and sophomores will take the PSAT. Many of our students will also spend this last month learning all they can in preparation for their AP tests at the start of May. We wish all of our students the best of luck as they demonstrate their academic growth this year.
Good luck to all of our spring athletes who are in the thick of their seasons right now.
With May only a few weeks away, all of our senior events, including graduation, are right around the corner. We look forward to celebrating our seniors at our commencement ceremony on Friday, May 22nd, at 8:00 am, at the Ritchie Center at the University of Denver.
Thank you, as always, for your continued support of Grandview as we sprint to the finish!
At Grandview, we are One Pack! Go Wolves!
