Testing Schedule 2024 - 2025
Fall 2024 Test Information
October 9, 2024 - College and Career Readiness Day (CCRD)
This will be a half-day for all students. This is a test day only; no regular classes will be held. Test dismissal is at 11:45 am. Lunch will be available in the cafeteria at the end of testing. Buse will depart at 12:00 pm. Please see specific grade level information below:
9th Grade
- All freshmen will take the PSAT9 (Practice Scholastic Aptitude Test for 9th graders) with their Advisory class.
10th Grade
- All Sophomores will take the PSAT10 (Practice Scholastic Aptitude Test for 10th graders) with their Advisory class.
- Sophomores who have registered and paid in advance to take the NMSQT (National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test) will also test. Please bring your school ID. Students may bring their own College Board approved calculator and a computer mouse to use while testing.
11th Grade
- Juniors will take the PSAT (Practice Scholastic Aptitude Test) with their Advisory class.
- Juniors who have registered in advance to take the NMSQT (National Merit Scholarship Test) will also test. Please bring your school ID. Students may bring their own College Board approved calculator and a computer mouse to use while testing.
12th Grade
- Seniors have the option to attend school for help on college essays and college applications, located in the Library. Interested students should sign up with their counselors through Schoology.
- Seniors who have registered for the ASVAB (Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery) will also test. Students should see thier counselor if interested.
- Seniors may be contacted to attend on this date to complete graduation requirements.
All students are encouraged to utilize Khan Academy throughout the school year to access test prep materials.
Additional Important College Board Testing Information:
- Students must bring their school issued computers and chargers to school on October 9th. Students should ensure that their computers are fully charged before testing. Students who arrive to school without their computers cannot test.
- Please ensure that your students computer and the Bluebook testing app are updated before arriving at school on all test days.
- All students should have developed a College Board account, which is needed to take the NMSQT test or practice SAT and PSAT tests. Please practice logging into College Board with your student using their College Board user name and password, before arriving on October 9th. The school is not able to access this information for students. Please have your student share this information with you, so it is readily available for all testing during their high school career. If there are issues with your student's College Board accound, please contact College Board directly at 866-315-6068.
Grandview High School values all tests as a measure of student progress and as an opportunity to show their learning. Your help in supporting tests is much appreciated.
NMSQT INFORMATION for Juniors:
The Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT) is an optional standardized assessment for Juniors that is co-sponsored by the College Board and the National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC). It is the only qualifying test for the National Merit Scholarship Program, an academic competition for recognition and scholarships conducted by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC). Juniors can register for the PSAT/NMSQT by paying a $25 fee through the Grandview student fees tile in REVTRAK. Sophomores may also register for the test, but it is only considered a practice exam and is not a qualifying test for Sophomores. Sophomores interested in an optional practice opportunity should contact their counselor for guidance on taking the exam.
The PSAT/NMSQT exam will be administered at Grandview on Wednesday, October 9, 2024. The exam will be in a digital format, and students must use their school issued computer to test. Students interested in this assessment must register/pay by Wednesday, September 25, 2024.
Spring 2025 Testing Information:
April 16, 2025:

PSAT10 - 10th grade
- SAT - 11th grade
April 17, 2025:
- PSAT9 - 9th grade
- CMAS - 11th grade
The above tests are all FREE exams for students, and students are automatically registered for the test.
- There will be no regular classes on April 16th or 17th.
- School will be open for breakfast from 7:45 am - 8:15 am.
- Buses will run on a normal schedule in the morning and will depart GHS at 12:15 pm. Lunch will be available for students prior to bus departure.
- Seniors will not attend on either test day. It's recommended that all seniors use this time to prepare for AP tests and/or final exams.
Please check your student's Seminar Schoology page for information on free test prep, developed by GHS teachers.
Parents who wish to opt their child our of a PSAT9, PSAT10, SAT, or CMAS test may do so by logging in to your my.cherrycreekschools.org parent portal account and selecting parent exemption from state assessment form.
